Some of the leaders and friends of the 17th Gillingham Scouts are attempting the 3 Peaks Challenge later this year to raise funds for our fast-growing group!

We were very pleased to be presented with a cheque for £640 from Waitrose Community Matters at the Group Christmas party. Thank you badges were also presented to long standing Group supporters.
During the weekend of 8th and 9th of June, the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts headed to Rainham Precinct to take part in the Scout Association Community Week.
We spent the day telling the local residents about what we do, handing out leaflets for new young people and adults and also bag packing in Tesco. We also met our local councillor Mike O’Brien and Rehman Chishti MP.
Special thanks go to David and Emma from Tesco Metro for allowing us to help their customers and to Kerrie for arranging this with Emma!

Well done to our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts for their excellent work during the weekend – we received fantastic feedback from the staff and members of the public in Rainham.
The leaders are extremely proud of your efforts!
We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Grant of £10,000 from the Big Lottery Fund towards the replacement of our leaking roof.
The Group Executive and all of the leaders would like to say a big thank you to the National Lottery Big Lottery Fund for the award.
Work on the roof will begin over the next few months and will help to ensure we can continue to provide scouting in the Rainham area.
